Why Cancer?

Fifty Four months ago My wife Linda passed away from a brain tumor. Not one single time did I ever hear her complain. For eleven months I marveled at the courage this women showed dealing with her imminent death.I saw her shed tears no more then three times. She is and was my hero.
Linda was a spirit filled Christian who had no fear of death. When some would say to me "I hear you lost your wife" I would smile and tell them,no.I know exactly where she is and I can assure you ,she is not lost. One morning I commented to a friend that I hoped there are horses in heaven.I know that she would be a horse horsewomen. Our friend laughed and said to me,No Doug, every morning Linda goes to the head office in heaven and tells the boss ,HERE is the itinerary for today.
That was my Linda.
Here is what bothers me. Every year millions and millions of dollars are raised to promote research for the cure of cancer.Over the years ,perhaps billions.I wonder where that money goes. How much actually gets to a lab for research?
how much is administrative?Do we pay for officials to take what is laughingly called research vacations. Who are these people?Where is the head office. Are they required to account for every penny and if so when?
I tried to do some research.Getting these answers is not easy. So I wonder what are they hiding? Are my grandchildren doing the walkathon thing so some one can live in comfort off of cancer donations?
Now I know someone is going to freak out because I have asked these questions.Well ,,,freak away. But I am going to get the answers.
For Linda and millions more afflicted with this deadly disease the cure is far to late.
